Jamie was born and raised in Manning, graduating from Manning High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Iowa State University in Biology with minors in psychology and coaching. She went on to receive her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, graduating with high distinction.
Jamie has experience in a variety of settings including home health care, a skilled brain injury unit, aquatic therapy, inpatient, and outpatient orthopedics. Her primary area of interest has been working in orthopedic/sports medicine, and she has treated a variety of individuals ranging from amateur athletes and “weekend warriors” to college and professional athletes. Her favorite thing about physical therapy is being able to help patients achieve their goals and return to their optimum level of function.
Jamie has a passion for providing evidence-based care to every patient, utilizing the most effective exercises, modalities, and manual physical therapy techniques available. In 2014 she became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS), demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the area of orthopedic physical therapy.
Jamie is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Orthopedic and Home Health sections. She is certified in SportsmetricsTM, an ACL injury prevention program scientifically proven to decrease serious knee ligament injuries in female athletes.
Jamie and her husband, Jeff, enjoy spending time with their children Annabelle, Evelyn, Josephine, and Tucker. She also enjoys biking, swimming, gardening, and attending Cyclone sporting events.
